Sarris Candy: The Best in PA

Husband and I love sweets. We especially love chocolates. When we discovered that Pittsburgh had it's own candy-making company, specializing in chocolate, we went a little crazy buying treats to try. All in all, we probably purchased upwards of $60 of chocolate products to savor.
Sarris Candies is located in Canonsburgh, PA, just southwest of Pittsburgh. People I know who live in the South Hills or Mt. Lebanon {pronounced "Leb-a-none"} make monthly trips  to the factory to stock up. It would be a dangerous situation for me, as both Husband and I loved many of Sarris' offerings.

Near Valentines Day, we purchased then ate an entire box of assorted chocolates from Sarris {Pronounced "Sarah's"}. Some may think this is excessive, but I think it was just research. {In the name of SCIENCE!}

What I Wore {to Birthday Dinner!}

Sunday night {my actual birth date}, Husband took me to a schmancy restaurant in Dahntahn*.  More on that to come, in the form of a PGH Dining post.  For now, let's discuss the outfit.
Husband did the best he could with the 'romantically dark' restaurant lighting.
I bought this dress from H&M about 5 months ago for my sister-in-law's 21st birthday shin-dig, but it was  too tight the night of the party, and on top of THAT, I made the mistake of spraying oil-based perfume on it at the last minute. SO, that made up my mind for me. I chose to wear another dress. {However, the Birthday Girl Amanda was gorgeous!!!}
I {Love} the bow detail on the dress!

This dress is for sure one of my favorites. It's dusty grey color is lovely, and compliments most of my accessories. AND, can you beat H&M's prices!? I believe I bought this dress for around $30. Incredible!

Thank you again to my wonderful Husband for a fantastic birthday!

*Note: "Dahntahn" is Pittsburghese for Downtown, or the Golden triangle. LOVE this!

What I Wore Today: Gift Hunting

Even though the holidays are almost over, January is a busy birthday month for Husband and I. The gifting isn't over yet! Husband was off work yesterday, so we took a trip to Wildcard. We were on a mission to find a happy belated birthday card, and other regular birthday cards.

Even though most of yinz* don't love my outfit posts, I'm going to continue them anyway!
I'm snarky like that.

Special thanks to Husband for taking these photos!

Tonight Michael and I are staying in to celebrate the coming of the new year, and cooking for ourselves. We're in the midst of making a somewhat healthy version of Nigella's Cornbread-topped Chili Con Carne. For dessert, I'm making a surprise! Stay tuned to see what it is!

*Note: "Yinz" is Pittsburgh slang (Pittsburghese) for 'you guys.' I don't think it will ever replace y'all!
