{Over the Weekend} House Righting

Even if it's Wednesday, I still feel the need to tell you guys what we did over the weekend: house-righting.  As in, getting everything in the new home just right. Hanging picture frames, rearranging the furniture, rethinking kitchen tool placement, washing pillowcases until they just about shine - you get the idea.
It was a madhouse, and we had to take a break at one point. I calmly sat on the couch with a good book and a tall glass of ice water. Husband and cats on the other hand...well...

Sleepy Study Buddy

As I studied for my midterms this past weekend, this is what I had next to me.
Talk about a total motivation sap.

{Over The Weekend} Cooking School, Cakes and Cat Tipis

I know it's already Monday again, but I wanted to share my past two weekends with y'all. {This post is weekend #1.} A friend of mine gave us tickets to a Market District Cooking School Class {as her husband was sick and couldn't go}, so we headed out to Robinson Township two Friday evenings ago. The class was structured around tasting the intricacies of wines and beers with food.
Just Starting
We arrived in the large classroom above the wine and beer area of Market District, and sat down among approximately 30 people. A good size class, I thought. {If the class is too small, it can seem awkward at times!} We were offered appetizers of grapes, cheeses, lobster and red pepper dip, and water crackers.
It's a bit pricey at around $35 a ticket, but you get food, drinks, information and good company. {Go Pittsburgh food community!}

Leadership and Personality Types

Just when you think life is going to settle down, it ramps back up!
I've started my second semester of graduate school, and am taking one more hour/one class more than last time. It's a leadership class, so I don't imagine it will overtake my extra time - I'm really looking forward to it, actually. We had a guest speaker come in, and split us into groups for playing out scenarios for the remainder of the semester. It's like group work, but no pressure.

We also discussed our personality types, in hopes we'll be able to soon discover our leadership styles. We glazed over the DiSC assessment, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator {abbreviated similar test, free}, and even the Johari Window before settling on using the speaker's mash up of several types of assessments.

I was drawn to "The Analyst" approach to working, which is seen as practical, uses data to make logical and analytical decisions, and is skilled at finding the fatal flaw in an idea or project. The description says The Analyst values the words 'objective' and 'organized'. Other types included The 'Get It Done' person {likes to be in control, quick to express urgency}, The Nurturer {friendly, likable team player, feelings-based and trusts own emotions/intuition as truth}, and The Visionary {innovative, creative, sees the big picture, risk-taker}.

Here is a result from a very short Jung/Myers-Briggs mash up test I took:

ESTJ -  "Administrator". Much in touch with the external environment. Very responsible. Pillar of strength. 8.7% of total population.

What type of person are you?  What is your leadership style?  Have you taken any of these tests?

Also, it's been sub-zero here in Western PA for the past several days, snowing on and off. This is how the {ADOS} family has been spending their time at home:

Over the Weekend: Tacos, Target {+ Neiman Marcus} & Tours

After a long week of getting back into the swing of things after a fantastic 4+ day holiday break, I was ready for a cocktail.  A coworker and I planned a happy hour for Friday evening at a favorite of mine in Lawrenceville.  It was a merry group!
Festive wall paper/ceiling.
